Another great weekend is ahead of us here at the Orange Park Kennel Club as the superstars will be shining throughout the weekends cards. Spot plays lurk all around us and we will do our best to get you the information you need, so that you can come out a winner.

Let's start out on Friday evening and we will look at the four grade A races on the card, which include the 7th, 10th, 11th, and 15th events.

In race 7 the returning star, Offthebrakedrake, looks like the one to beat. He has been breaking well since coming back, winning 2 of his 5 starts, and he hasn't missed the money yet. He will be challenged by the rising star Lk's Calypso, who is a monster near the front end, but she will have to deal with a tough post. Penrose Jovial drew a better spot outside and will be flying up the stretch to challenge, and let's not forget Atascocita Doll. If she wants a piece of this pie, she will have to come out running tonight. (4-2-7-1)

Ouch; is all I can say about the 10th race as 2012 track win leader, Gs Uncle Henry, draws the 1 box. He is good from almost anywhere, but from the 1 box, he breaks faster and is even more dominant. He will do what he does and win yet another race tonight. He will have company early and late in this effort as Leading Steps and Bb's Alonzo can come out strong and possible see the front, and in the stretch Kiowa Jill Vik will make him work hard if he wants another W. (1-6-7-4)

Big time battle headed your way in the 11th race as the heavyweights are poised to make some noise. Gs Grace is hot off a win last time out from this every post is as fast as she wants to be. She can get it done from the lead or from behind, and that gives her a slight edge tonight. M's Free Mason can hang with the best of them to the finish and from this inside post that is what he is going to do again. Giving his all, he will make it interesting at the finish line. They both might have to catch Get It Birch late if he breaks, which he probably will, but the sleeper Shining has a shot too. Just a pup, this greyhound jumped to A in just 5 races! (1-2-5-6)

Jumping to 660 for race 15, we have another classic in store for you tonight. Clever Is Crazy has found his LEGS, yes pun intended, and is dominating over the distances. With back to back wins over 770 and 660, he is breaking and getting it done. With another good near rail post, he will be tough to beat again here. Trying to take him down, the always trying Diamond Tears who hasn't missed the money in 6 straight, the always threatening Really Gonnarock who also has been 6 straight in the superfecta, and the always closing Lk's Flawless from his best box. (3-4-6-1)

Saturday - 2/18/2012
The fun continues on Saturday in the evening card in the 1st, 7th, 11th, and 15th races.

Right out of the gate Kiowa Sue Money will have the early lead in race 1, but can she hold on to it all the way to the wire for the win? That is the question of this evening. She is clearly the best greyhound in this field and has the tools to get it done, but will she? Maybe? If she does, she will need to beat out fellow grade droppers Rk's Assistant and M's Dream Easy. Both greyhounds are capable of stalking early and outlasting the leader for the victory, but they have to show up and break. Splittingseconds is an interesting looking puppy here too. This wide runner gets the 8 box and that might just put her over the top in this effort, that is if she shows up. (4-7-3-8)

Race 7 will be a battle up front as we see a ton of early speed vying for the lead and the win from the get go. I'll take the resurging Kiowa Adara Art. Art has returned on a mission and his patented break has returned. He has been coming out fast, and has proved to be a threat throughout in every effort. He will be challenged here though by the ankle burners Ww's I Girl and Dutch Doniphin. Both greyhound could outbreak the man for the front end, but both of them are far shorter than he is late. Even with the lead, they may need help behind to hold on and win. Smokin Snoopy always gets overlooked, but from those rail post positions, she is always a tough out. If she comes to run, she could be the one taking the victory in this effort. (3-7-8-2)

Race 11 is going to be highly watched as phenon J's Robin heads back to 550 yards and possibly her unblemished ways. In her young career, she has never finished out of the money over 550 yards, really she has only missed the money in 3 starts, and those came over 660. She will have to deal with the tough middle post, but if she wants to run, this race is hers to lose. If Robin stumbles at all, puppy Atascocita Dora should be the one to replace her in the winner's circle. She has posted up 3 straight victories and has controlled them all on the front end. The break will be critical again to her tonight. Early pressure will come by the way of Pat C Lil Tipsy too in this effort. The post is the only thing holding him back, but the post for Lk's Intrigue will help the closer find room and challenge here. (4-3-7-2)

Red hot racing time in the 15th race on the card as the dominate break of Ww's Gucci has returned. Looking like she did a year or so ago, Gucci has been firing to the lead and leaving fields of greyhounds in her dust. A little too late to win the stakes, she is proving that she can still get it done. With 3 straight wins by almost 10, 4, and 8 lengths, no one has been close. Watch her do it again here. Trying to spoil her fun will be the always trying hot off a win Jeans Two Face, the posted up every breaking Flying Glenda, and the new to 660 but loving it Lk's Merrel. (5-8-1-4)

Saturday - 2/18/2012
The action continues on Saturday afternoon in the 7th, 11th, 14th, and 15th races on the card.

It's ship in time in the 7th race on the card as WWW Sea You is taking the Orange Park Kennel Club by storm. This greyhound has won 3 of 5 starts and has not missed the money yet. She has speed to burn late and she is going to need it in this effort. Kiowa Vanessa and Atascocita Rip both can hit the lid and either one could be in the early lead in this effort. Both are short late though, and it will prove their demise once again near the wire. Also look out for the resurging Gs Storey who is hot off a win and will be flying up late to factor. (4-8-5-6)

Wide open race in the 11th as several greyhounds have a good shot at the victory. Even though she has not got it done in 6 straight. Lk's Tiara is the one to beat in this effort. Back at 550 yards ,and getting accustom to it again, she has just missed in her last 3 starts in a row. She has gotten closer in each effort and today she will get it done. Post is what gets AJ Smog Runner a look here. He loves the rail and has been a runner-up in 3 straight trips. If he can break better, he too has a shot to win. Big Drama would be the favorite in this effort, but the 7 box takes that away from her. She too is back at 550 after the Orange Park Derby finals, and is picking right up where she left off. She has enough speed to see the lead, and might have to break on top if she wants to win from here. Gs Bentley is the hot and cold running greyhound that must break to contend. With 2 wins in 3 races, don't count him out here. (4-1-7-8)

Class is the calling card of the day in the 14th race on the card. Two solid grade droppers lurk on the outside along with a greyhound coming off the stakes. This trio should prove tough to beat here. Gs Jocelyn leads the way with a perfect post and enough late speed to get the job done at the finish line. Howdoyoulikethat is by far the class of this field, and if he was inside, forgetaboutit. Here he overcomes the post and challenges. Sheer Energy is also a dropper that should push the pace throughout and puppy Atascocita Tappy could be a threat if she can remember how to get out of the starting box. (2-7-8-5)

Now over to 660 yards for the 15th and final race for Saturday matinee. No one is going to beat Snj Green Bomb out of the starting box here, but in the stretch she will get beat out. Lk's Integrity is a super closer that is going to make the most, of the almost midtrack post, and rev up the engines late to take away the victory in the stretch. Bomb should hold on to place, but has to be worried early by stalking threat Jeans Bambi and the late closing Wisteria Lane. If Bomb can steal enough early, she might be able to pull off the upset on the front end today. (3-7-5-2)

Sunday - 2/19/2012
One day left, but the action continues on Sunday matinee in the 4th, 7th, 11th, and 15th races on the card.

Time for another front running battle royal in the 4th race. Youcrackmeup is a monster from the staring box and has not been beaten to the turn in 4 straight efforts. His only downfall is that he is short at the end of the race and he has not held on to win any of those 4 efforts. Wise Baby is another breaker that is moving back to 550 after some time over the 660 yard course. She too can come out running, but is not as short at the end of the race. Both greyhounds will be giving their all throughout, but Baby gets the slight lasting ability edge at the wire. Both better be wary late of the always pressing Kelsos Brimstone, and the double dropper Sara's Sullivan on the rail. (2-3-8-1)

Class gets the nod in the 7th race on the card as Locall Cortina is the only solid A greyhound in this entire field. Granted she is not the best breaker, or the best closer, but she gives her all in each effort and finds ways to win races at the Orange Park Kennel Club. She has a fairly good post and do what she does again today. Gs Comet is a strong closer with a great post and will be coming on strong to challenge in this effort. Lk's All In is riding high off a win, but will need to break in order to be effective, and we have to include Miami On Fire. Talented enough to win, and dominate, Fire just needs to wake up and show everyone what he can do. (4-1-6-8)

Raw speed and great post positions are a great combination for Lk's Ambitious in this effort. No greyhound has run faster as of late and the 1 box is always the prime position on the racetrack to start from. Here she will clear close and outrun everyone for the victory. Pushing the pace to the stretch should be the fast breaking Wise Bet. This greyhound is hot off a win, and ready to challenge again. Wildcard It's Your Risk has looked good since coming to Orange Park, but will need to break better if she wants a chance to take home a victory. The inside post will help her efforts again, and Gs Addison might just be the best closer in the bunch. She can come from way back to get into contention and that is what she is going to do again in this effort. (1-7-2-5)

Capping off the weekend, the 15th and final race for Sunday will be a great one to watch. Forget the last start, Lk's Exceptional will get right back on the winning track in this effort. Previously, she has won back to back efforts since returning from 660, and the closing speed will come in handy once again in this effort. Watch for an all out late run to take away the win at the wire. Kentucky Ham is a ship in that jumps right into the fire today. With some good dearly speed, he might be the one to catch in this effort. Ww's Wine Cooler is better than her line show and is slowly starting to get back into the groove. Just missing last time out, she could be headed back to grade A if she wakes up today. Easi Denny must also get some consideration in this effort as he won his last race by a full 7 lengths. Even though he races wide, he breaks well from the rail and this 1 box might be his ticket back to the promise land. (3-5-6-1)
