How does a Greyhound Become a Pet?
Greyhounds are placed in the Greyhounds As Pets adoption center by their racing kennels for many reasons. Some have completed their racing careers and are not selected to be bred or returned to their owners. Others may have minor injuries or racing habits that keep them from competition. They are usually between two and five years old. Although good kennel manners include walking on a leash, relieving themselves outdoors at schedules times, and resting quietly in bed: household experiences like stairs, mirrors, ceiling fans, sliding glass doors, vinyl and television will be new encounters for our pets. Diets are adjusted to a typical pet plan instead of high-calorie and high-protein diet required for racers. |
