Diamond’s For Me was a fan favorite that was a monster from the rail post positions on the Jacksonville Racing Circuit. He was unstoppable getting to the rail in almost any race and would do anything to get there. He competed in several stakes events but found the most success in the Mayor’s Cup. He made the finals of the race two years in a row, 2001 & 2002, and finished a close third in the 2001 edition. In his career he posted up 68 wins here and 75 overall between Daytona Beach, where he broke in, and the Jacksonville Racing Circuit. When starting from the one box on the Jacksonville Racing Circuit he won 11 of his 17 races, including wins in his last 5 efforts from this starting box. Fans loved him for the big break and the rush to the turn. Everyone here new that as long as he was close enough early on it was going to be interesting at the finish line. |
