Let’s Play Fair was the queen over the 660 yard course for the majority of her career on the Jacksonville Racing Circuit. She was a threat in every race that she was entered in and competed in an astonishing 224 consecutive races in a row. Fair had tremendous late speed and could run down anyone on the lead if she wanted to and if she started from the 8 box, forgetaboutit. On occasion she would break well and in those efforts she put up one her double digit wins or one, in a line of several, meet best times. The only black mark on her resume is that she never won the big one. She did however make the finals of the Orange Park Derby for 3 straight years a feat that might have never been done before. The closest that she came to a title were her 3rd place effort in NOS XV and her 4th place finish in the 2004 Orange Park Derby. Fair will always be remember by fans as the greyhound that rarely missed the board, won a ton of races (69 in all) and if she wanted to run, no lead was safe. |
