Mcp’s Joe was not only a double stakes winner on the Jacksonville Racing Circuit he came up just short of the National win title in 2002. For the year he finished off with 40 victories and was tied for third overall in the country. During that run he had streaks of five wins in a row or more on three occasions. Joe had great box speed, and even though he was not short at the end of the race he won most of his races on the front end. Joe was all rail all the time and if he adorned the red blanket, you could go to the windows. In his career from the one box he won over half of his races and never missed the money. Joe’s lasting memory for the faithful on the Jacksonville Racing Circuit will be his consistency. Joe finished in the top four positions in 109 of 124 career starts on the Jacksonville Racing Circuit and in each and every effort he left it all on the racetrack. |
