After a bit of a cool down, the COUNT is back.

Breaking from the one box in the 10 race on the card for Monday Evening at the Orange Park Kennel Club, Ivan was looking for his third win in a row and his fourth in his last five starts. In each of those previous wins he was in command at the first turn and that is really what everyone expected again in this effort. You know, his usual. Break close, outrush the field to the turn, and then it is off to the races for the win, but this time around he had to flip the script.
Ivan did break well, he was close early, but he did not have the lead at the first turn. Ship in Kiowa Stan Frank stole away three lengths on the Terrible one at the first turn and he was going to have to work hard to get it done tonight. Down the backside he did manage to close up the ranks a bit and by the far turn he was absolutely flying. Turning for home he drove to take command of the race and carried to all the way to the finish line for the victory. What a spirited run by Count Ivan and the first win he has had from off the pace since February. All I can say is the rest of the grade A greyhounds at the racetrack, better get ready as the Terrible One, is BACK!
