Well the third match-up, between Count Ivan and Ru Tuff Enuf, was no match at all as Ru Tuff Enuf made quick work of the grade A field, and his rival, on Sunday afternoon.
Breaking from a great inside post position, Ru Tuff Enuf snapped to the early lead and was in command from the get go. Nowhere along the run around the oval was he ever in question, as his lead increased with each and every step that he took. Crossing the line a full 5 lengths ahead of this talented field, Tuff Enuf stopped the clock at an ultra-fast 30.29 seconds.

No real big surprise to his backers as we have all seen in the past just what this greyhound can do clear on the early lead. WIN BIG! Just look at the last month or so of races and you will see all you need to see! Victories in 3 of 4, and 6 of 11, starts and in each he won by about 5 or more lengths and stopped the clock the at an average time of 30.34 seconds.

This win was the 31st on the year for this talented greyhound as he just keeps racking up the stats. Talk about consistency, Tuff Enuf has been in the money in 56 of his 64 races on the year, or 88% of the time that he straps on a muzzle and competes. Stakes races have been kind to him too as he finished a close second to none-other than Count Ivan in the finals of the Jacksonville Sprint Classic and in 9 qualifying races he has won 3 times, finished 2nd on 4 trips and 4th on another, for a total of 8 in the money shots.
No more stakes left this year, but if this greyhound keeps on winning, he has a good shot to take home over 40 in 2009! Now that is a feat for any greyhound at any racetrack and with all of the tough competition here, that is really saying something.
Congrats to the DQ Williams Kennel, Owner Sharon L. Williams, Trainer David Helton, and everyone else connected with this great athlete. Thanks for continuing to support the Orange Park Kennel Club with wonderful greyhounds. All of us here enjoy the show and wish nothing but the best for this great greyhound in the future.
